One Week, One Donut, No Regrets
In 2021, I needed to learn something new for no reason other than free will. Seven days, one donut, and a computer pushed to its limits later, I have a whole new respect for 3D artists.
In 2021, I needed to learn something completely new for no reason other than free will. After coming across Blender and the classic "Donut Challenge," I knew it was my sign. I followed Andrew Price's iconic tutorial and was able to render it in about seven days, all while balancing other commitments in my life at the time. It had some very frustrating moments, and I for sure pushed my computer to the max, but it was a rewarding feeling to create it and also learn about a new program. I now have a lot more respect for 3D artists and what they have to do to make their products.
